Even though it’s only the start of September and still summer, it already feels like fall. With all the pumpkin flavored coffees out and the chilly weather, I say it’s fall. The changing seasons means a changing wardrobe. Especially when you live in a climate with four seasons. Fall fashion is all about darker hues, longer hemlines and layering clothes. It’s that perfect chilly weather for layering an infinity scarf with a cozy cardigan. Here are my fall fashion essentials.
Quarter Zip Jacket
If you’re not ready to commit to a winter jacket just yet, then try a quarter zip jacket. Wear it with some medium wash jeans and look put together for any fall outing. Whether you’re going to an apple orchard or to a picnic, you’ll feel comfortable and stylish. The most popular colors for this type of jacket are black and grey.
Medium Wash Jeans
In the summer, I tend to wear jeans that are a lighter wash or white jeans. Around September I put away these jeans in favor of dark denim or medium wash colors. Not to mention who doesn’t love jeans? There’s a pair out there that will make you look and feel amazing. Make sure to get new blue jeans for the season.
A great summer to fall transition piece is a puffer vest. Wear this cute vest with a long-sleeved shirt and jeans. This reversible vest gives you two looks in one. A classic outfit that will never go out of style. I usually style these types of vests with basic colors like gray, white, navy and black tops. Another great thing about vests is that they insulate heat, keeping you warm and cozy as the weather gets colder.
Even though stripes look amazing every season, they are especially popular during the fall time. Especially when layered with a green utility jacket. Another way to wear stripes is with a denim jacket and over the knee boots. Stripe dresses have also become popular as they can be worn on their own or with a long-sleeved cardigan.
No matter what your style is, we all want to look and feel good. Wearing the right outfit and finding your personal style gives you confidence to conquer that interview or succeed at work. Everyone has their own personal style, show yours with new clothes this fall.
